Hari Shetty is a seasoned leader at Wipro, bringing over three decades of experience to his role as Chief Strategist and Technology Officer. In this capacity, Hari leads the organization's strategy, technology, marketing and sales excellence functions.

As Chief Strategist, staying attuned to macro-economic factors and emerging technology trends that are transforming various sectors. By crafting forward-looking strategies, Wipro not only adapts but also positions itself to be the leader in the IT service industry.

Technology is central to Wipro's strategy, and overseeing the CTO organization provides the required leverage to amplify results. Wipro's Lab45 innovation centers are at the forefront of applied research in Agentic AI, Quantum Computing, and Digital Ledger Technology.

Translating strategy into action through effective marketing, deal origination and sales execution is critical for Wipro’s success. The strength of Wipro’s brand as a purpose driven organization with exemplary focus on innovation combined with sales excellence helps us win in the market.

Prior to the current role, Hari Shetty led the technology sector at Wipro, overseeing client engagement, strategy formulation, execution, and P&L management. Under his leadership, Wipro delivered a comprehensive suite of technology services, ranging from silicon engineering and product design to live operations and customer success. He was also instrumental in incubating and building other industry units, such as Retail & Distribution, elevating Wipro to a top-tier partner for leading retailers.

Before this, Hari was the “Change & Transform” leader for the consumer business division, driving 4 big bets - digital transformation, cloud services, engineering services, and cybersecurity. As a thought leader, Hari has published articles and spoken at forums on leading business transformation with technology. In 2024, he was rated among the world’s Top 25 Technology Consultants and Leaders.

An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Hari holds a multidisciplinary educational background with degrees in computer science & engineering, management, finance, and law. Additionally, he was part of the executive leadership program at the Harvard Business School on “Leading Professional Service Firms.”
