How Wipro and Oracle Cloud are Enhancing Financial ERP Investments at DHL Supply Chain
Cloud migration is never one-size-fits-all. DHL Supply Chain’s REIMAGINE Finance project, for example, aimed to harmonize financial ERP workflows in Oracle Cloud. However, this cloud migration needed to address a diverse range of legal and regulatory environments, country-specific applications, languages, and ways of working.
Based on Wipro’s deep global experience in cloud migration, DHL Supply Chain reached out to Wipro as an implementation partner. The goal was to bring as much standardization to each country-specific migration as possible despite each country’s unique operating environment.
Wipro brought experienced in-country talent, advanced automation capabilities, and novel accelerators to drive the "REIMAGINE Finance" project across 49 countries. With new cloud capabilities in place, DHL Supply Chain’s finance department has become much more than a bookkeeper, with new tools to steer its entire business toward higher performance. A testament to this transformation is the remarkable outcomes achieved: decision-making processes have been accelerated by 20%, and operational costs have been reduced by 30% which were enabled by Wipro's Zoom-to-Cloud methodology and QuMiC accelerator.
In this video interview, Graham Walker (DHL Supply Chain’s SVP of Global Accounting and Finance) and Deviprasad Rambhatla (Wipro SVP and Global Head, Oracle Practice) share insights into the successful global rollout of DHL Supply Chain’s "REIMAGINE Finance" project. This discussion reveals the strategies, challenges, and innovative solutions that facilitated a smooth implementation, set industry benchmarks at DHL Supply Chain, and won an Oracle award for digital innovation. Walker and Rambhatla also discuss the emerging synergies between cloud and AI that will impact the next phase of finance transformation.
