Influential analyst organization Everest Group has positioned Wipro as a Leader on its 2023 IAM PEAK Matrix® Assessment
Authentication/identity has become essential for enterprise security in 2023. IAM is the most critical component for Zero Trust deployments, including MFA, single sign-on, PAM and all manner of identity governance for compliance needs. This goes beyond traditional cybersecurity needs to include compliance with the large number of regional privacy rules.
The Everest Group report identified Wipro as a top IAM leader globally. “Wipro’s digital identity offerings, powered by next-generation IAM, enable enterprises to achieve digital trust in the workplace and consumer domain and enable omnichannel, personalized and frictionless user experiences while adapting to new privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA. Wipro delivers automation-led and platform-driven services with a forward-looking approach and collaborative mindset.”
The report particularly applauded the crucial partnerships that Wipro delivers to clients, including SailPoint, Saviynt, Microsoft, Okta/Auth0, CyberArk, Transmit Security, Secret Double Octopus and Strata. Another big element driving the endorsement encompassed the latest strategic Wipro acquisitions, including Edgile, Ampion and Capco.
“Enterprises seeking a holistic view of the identity landscape should consider Wipro‘s identity management center which provides a single pane view for all IAM technologies deployed such as migration, application onboarding, data cleansing and RPA,” the report said. “Enterprises will benefit from Wipro‘s acquisition of Edgile as it has integrated Edgile with its own digital identity practice, further augmenting its overall capabilities in delivering IAM services. Enterprises looking for decentralized identity services can leverage Wipro‘s “Dice ID” platform, which is powered by blockchain and enables the issuance and verification of tamper-proof credentials.”
Wipro CyberTransform includes strategy and implementation services that help organizations take a modern approach to security, embrace a transition to the cloud, and allow internal employees, customers and external third parties to operate in virtual, digital supply chains—all in a highly secure manner.
Wipro’s expert CyberSecurists bring a unique understanding of the risk and compliance trends driving digital transformations and the need for a strategy-first approach. This includes Quick Start solutions enabled by IP accelerators, along with automated regulatory compliance subscription services to help customers enhance boardroom governance of cybersecurity risk, maintain compliance in an evolving regulatory environment and embed cyber resilience into their business DNA.
Kumar Avijit, Practice Director at the Everest Group, pointed to several Wipro capabilities that prompted his group’s endorsement.
“Wipro's digital identity offerings make IAM transformation programs simpler through a strategy-first approach and pioneering focus on automation in onboarding, testing, and data validation,” Avijit said. “Wipro facilitates an effective adoption of modern IAM platforms both for workforce and consumer IAM, helping enterprises achieve streamlined and automated IAM processes. Furthermore, its investments in developing proprietary assets and inorganic growth have augmented its overall capabilities in delivering IAM services. Additionally, clients have appreciated Wipro for its technical and domain expertise and consider it as their strategic partner in their IAM journeys. All of these factors have led to Wipro being positioned as a Leader on Everest Group’s IAM Services PEAK Matrix Assessment 2023.”
Tony Buffomante, Senior Vice President & Global Head—Cybersecurity & Risk Services, Wipro Limited, said he was honored that Everest has yet again noted Wipro’s cybersecurity leadership.
